“I had no previous experience of being interviewed before. I, being an out- of-towner, felt very anxious giving job interviews here. I realized about personal interview coaching given at Growth Centre, which made me take this opportunity as soon as I came to Mumbai. It was good to get the practice and insight. This helped me approach the employers confidently!” –Enthusiastic Fresher

Personal Interview (PI), considered universally as the most obvious tool of recruitment. It is the foremost step for every company while hiring employees. Confidence and making your skills salable for the position you are applying for, believed to be all there is to it. Yet that professional touch essential for a formal interview that the recruiters are seeking for is often missing.

“I was under the impression that a well read person need not be worried about going for group discussions. But I was wrong. It’s not just talking about what you think about a topic. It’s so much more. I really appreciate the way this particular topic was taken. The trainer at Growth Centre, Mumbai, could have just given us the topic and then point out the faults. But I must say it was a very good blend of practical and theory. It was a good opportunity to learn not just from the trainer but also from the other team members. I would say all the graduates should go through such a session once before applying for job placements.” – Prospective PG Student

Although Group Discussions, commonly referred to as ‘GD’, is regarded as one of the common headhunting tactics, the nuances and rationale behind GD remains largely unknown.

“I would definitely recommend this stress management session to everyone! It has enabled me to learn how to take control of my emotions, understand the process of relaxation better and realize how to get my own message across to my family and friends, without being stressed.” – Relieved Housewife

Stress never makes people victim, according to their age. You can even find a child studying in school who is dealing with stress. Every individual is unique. Moreover, the stress taking capacity of different individuals varies too. A particular stressful situation for an individual may not necessarily pose as stressful for another.

“I was in search of a good organization which provided parental guidance in Mumbai, when my friend suggested about Growth Centre, who has had a very good experience with them earlier. After receiving excellent assistance from Growth Centre, I can confidently say that this is one of the most beneficial sessions I have attended. I wish I had come here earlier.” – Happy Parent

Parenting can be a 24X7 duty, where appraisals and increments cannot be expected.

As someone once said “The trouble with learning to parent on the job is that your child is the teacher.”

Banking is now a hot and trending sector in the country. The concept of working in nationalized banks is an old one. With the introduction of private banks, several new opportunities have been created. This has resulted in a huge competition in the banking sector in terms of services, facilities and even promotions.

Due to competition, banks have resorted to recruitments through entrance tests to ensure a high & uniform standard of employee pool. With exception of some private banks conducting their own exams, the Common Written Examination (CWE) is conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS). The result of this exam is accepted by about 21 public sector banks for the recruitment of clerical staff & probationary officer’s post.
